1. How do I know if my shower valve needs to be replaced?
Signs include dripping, difficulty adjusting temperature, low pressure, grinding or sticking handles, or water leaking behind the wall. These usually mean the internal valve components are worn out.
2. Can a shower valve be repaired instead of replaced?
Some issues can be fixed with a new cartridge, but older or corroded valves often require full replacement. We diagnose the issue and recommend the most cost-effective solution.
3. How long does a shower valve replacement take?
Most replacements take 1–2 hours depending on access, plumbing type, and wall conditions.
4. Will replacing my valve fix temperature control problems?
Yes — a new pressure-balancing or thermostatic valve often restores stable temperature and prevents sudden hot/cold swings.
5. Do I need to replace the trim kit when replacing the valve?
Not always, but many homeowners choose to upgrade the trim for a fresher look. We install any trim kit you prefer.
