1. How long does sheet vinyl flooring last?
High-quality sheet vinyl typically lasts 10–20 years depending on surface prep, installation quality, and foot traffic.
2. Is sheet vinyl waterproof?
Yes — sheet vinyl is fully waterproof, making it ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, and basements.
3. Can sheet vinyl be installed over old flooring?
Yes, as long as the existing floor is smooth and level. Otherwise, we repair or level the subfloor first.
4. Do you need underlayment for sheet vinyl?
Not always. Sheet vinyl can be installed directly over a properly prepared subfloor, but moisture-barrier underlayment may be recommended for basements or old concrete slabs.
5. Can damaged sheet vinyl be patched instead of replaced?
Small cuts or tears can often be patched. Larger damage or peeling sections usually require replacing the affected area or the entire sheet.
